The Disco Dance Club is open to dance lovers of 40+ years to dance to disco music of the 60s, 70s, and 80s.
Strictly dancing.
The Venue: Devas Club, 2a Stormont Road, London SW11 5EN. 8pm ’til Midnight
Events take place on the third Saturday of every month.

Disco dance emerged during the 1970s, reaching its popularity peak with the release of the blockbuster film “Saturday Night Fever.” Latin dances such as the samba, cha cha, and tango inspired many of the popular disco moves.
Well-known disco artists include ABBA, the Bee Gees, Donna Summer, Gloria Gaynor, Giorgio Moroder, Boney M, Earth Wind & Fire, Chaka Khan, Chic, KC and the Sunshine Band, Thelma Houston, Sister Sledge, The Trammps, The Village People and Michael Jackson. While performers garnered public attention, record producers working behind the scenes played an important role in developing the genre. Films such as Saturday Night Fever (1977) and Thank God It’s Friday (1978) contributed to disco’s mainstream popularity.
